On 9 June 2026, Minister Eric Thill, Minister of State for Tourism, visited our campsite and awarded the ‘4-star comfort’ rating to Krounebierg Campsite. In addition to numerous members of the committee of the Mersch Tourist Information and Tourism Association (Syndicat des initiatives et du tourisme de Mersch a.s.b.l.), the Kraan family and the Mayor of Mersch, Michel Malherbe, were also present at the award ceremony.

During a visit to the campsite, the minister Thill was able to observe the high standard of comfort of the numerous tent and camping sites on offer at Krounebierg. A drink taken afterwards led to some lively discussions and some ideas for the future development of our campsite.
